WALTHAMSTOW TRADES HALL
Walthamstow Trades Hall & Institute is a members’ club, which has stood in its current location for 100 years. There are two bars and a meeting room and it holds regular events, all of which are open to the public. Membership too, is open to all adults for an annual fee.
To ensure that everyone visiting Walthamstow Trades Hall is safe and secure during these strange times, we have implemented a number of measures in line with Government advice.
Before arriving at the club, please ensure that you have the NHS Covid-19 app installed on your smartphone. Our Test & Trace QR code is on display on the front door and at several location in the foyer – when entering the club you must scan this with your smartphone to check in. We have sanitisers situated at the main entrance, the foyer and in the main hall.
A one-way system is in place, and doors for entrance and exit are clearly marked. You will be required to wear your face mask when moving around the club and are permitted to remove it when seated at a table to eat or drink.
We have safely distanced tables and a strict table service policy. To order drinks and snacks from the bar you will need use our ‘Club Order’ mobile app. Details about how to download and install the app can be found here. Last orders at the bar is at 9.30pm and the club must be vacated by 10.00pm.

Walthamstow Trades Hall is a unique venue in the heart of E17. The Main Hall (with fully stocked bar, comfortable seating and a spacious dance floor) can accommodate up to 250 people. The Upstairs Bar Room can seat 25 people or accommodate up to 50 people. These rooms are available for hire either for regular meetings and activities or for one off events. Furthermore, catering can be arranged in conjunction with nearby restaurants Yard Sale Pizza or Spice Box.

You can join at any time of the year but to gain most benefit from your membership it’s obviously best to join in Dec/Jan. You can then participate in the Annual General Meeting and have a say in your club’s future.
